HAROLD'S SEEDLING #3-2 gallon ( kasigiyama type)

Discovered by Harold Johnston,Tallahasee, AL. Harold never did name the tree. This seedling is from 'Kasigiyama'. Brick-red spring color with creamy-white reticulation and dark veins. The color holds longer in shaded conditions. In the summer months, the brick-red color becomes slightly darker and doesn't washout like 'Kasigiyama' does. Bright red to orange fall color. 8 ft high and 6ft wide in 10 yrs. Upright, rounded habit. Part shade will hold color longer but does well in full sun. Plant in well-drained soil. Zone 5.
