JAPANESE SUNRISE-2 gallon

A maple known for its colored bark. Nice winter interest. The bark is brighter than 'Sango Kaku' Instead of red, it is orange-red. Newer twigs and parts that are facing the sun are very bright orange-red. Parts of the branches on the shaded side or more yellow-orange. Pretty palmate leaves are yellow-green in the spring and light green in the summer. In the fall, the leaves turn yellow and gold with hints of crimson. Upright, somewhat narrow tree with a vase shape. Approx. 20-23 ft at maturity. As with most colored bark trees planted in the Northeast, grow out of the cold winter winds.
