Saw-toothed appearance is an outstanding feature of this dissectum along with the unusual color. Leaves emerge in spring bright yellow with red edges changing to a slightly darker light green with darker edges and tips. If in the sun, the leaves are more yellow with burnt orange edges. There is also a fine speckling on the leaves. Stands out amongst most maples. Grow to a 5 ft spreading mound. Not a fast growing tree. Golden yellow fall color with hues of oranges and red. Best in part shade in well-drained soil. Zone 5 Photo taken in spring. Somewhat finicky maple.
