A unique brilliant red in the spring becomes purple-red as the months go on. Holds color well and does well in the hot sun. Bright red fall color. Upright and broad, this tree will reach 9 ft tall and 5 ft wide in 10 yrs. Plant in well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Zone 5. An Italian introduction.
