SUISEI-2g 2015 graft

Some say this is the same a 'Filigree Lace' but it is quite different as the plant ages. The leaves are much more reticulated and larger. White leaves emerge in the spring with dark green veins. As the leaves age, they will get a slight greener appearance but still have noticeable veining. The appearance of the leaf arrangement is much more layered looking that 'Filigree Lace'. Fall color is shades of orange with dark red veining that will eventually become light yellow with orange-pink veins. Mounding with a wide spreading habit becoming 7 ft at maturity. Not a fast growing maple. I do like this one better than 'Filigree Lace' it seems to be showier. Best if planted in dappled shade or kept away from afternoon sun. The color is washed out in the afternoon sun. Well-drained soil. Zone 5.
