A fine dissected maple with maroon/brown leaves and gold veins in the spring. Similar to 'Red Filigree Lace' but the color is different. In the summer, the leaves turn maroon with a hint of brown. Crimson fall color. The tree looks delicate but it is very hardy. This dwarf was introduced by John Vermeulen Son Nursery in NJ. It was first named 'Rila's Red' found by Ron Bylecki. 2-3 ft tall and 3-5 ft wide in 10 yrs. Mounding shape. Sun/part shade in well-drained soil. Zone 5
