Similar to 'Saoshika' but with more prominent brownish tips in the spring lasting longer into the summer. Light green leaves in summer will sometimes carry the brownish tips before turning completely green. Vibrant fall color that is fiery red and crimson. Strong growing maple reaching 12-15 ft in 20 yrs. Very pretty and one of my favorites. Sun/part shade in well-drained soil. Zone 5 Satsuki Beni means "red in May"
