BENI MAIKO-2 gallon

A beautiful semi-dwarf variety. Early spring the foliage is brilliant fire red. As the leaves mature, they become thinner in appearance with a pinkish green color. In the summer months the foliage becomes greenish red with the main veins remaining red. Nice when positioned in front of dark contrasting foliage. Mature growth is around 8-10 ft. Fall color is a blaze of deep pink-red. Very good for bonsai or container use. The name means "red-haired dancing girl" Sun to partial shade in well-drained soil. Zone 5. Photo is of fall color.
