Purple-red leaves in spring turning to greenish-purple in summer. Deeply cut leaves. When back lite with the sun, the leaves look like paper. Usually will have an abundance of red samaras. Nice fall color that is bright orange. Upright, vase shaped tree to 15 ft. Can grow in full sun or part shade in well-drained soil. Maybe a cross between a palmatum and shirasawanum. Zone 5
